The problem was the weak application of the Experimental Methodology for the development of skills in Inorganic Chemistry. The objective was to determine the importance of the Experimental Methodology for the development of skills in Inorganic Chemistry. The methodology used: analysis - synthesis was used in the collection of information, the research design is non-experimental. The type of research was field and bibliographic which provided exact and precise information, the level of research is descriptive. The population with which we worked were the students of the Second Semester of the Experimental Career: Pedagogy of Chemistry and Biology. As an instrument, the survey was applied in order to collect information and verify the existing problem due to the limitation of the experimental methodology for the development of competencies. It was identified that the experimental methodology is essential for the development of skills in Inorganic Chemistry, where experimentation allows obtaining solutions to problems proposed in the classroom. In addition, it promotes in students an independence to investigate, creativity and curiosity to learn and build their own knowledge, relating it to the development of skills for a correct development as Pedagogues in Chemistry and Biology.
