Academic essay: a learning strategy in the subject of cell biology

The research was carried out at the National University of Chimborazo, the problem was the lack of importance of the academic essay as a learning strategy, to improve the dissemination of knowledge, the objective is to describe the importance of the academic essay as a learning strategy, to improve the dissemination of the knowledge of Cell Biology with the students of the second semester of the Pedagogy of Chemistry and Biology Career, period October 2019 April 2020. The method applied in the investigation was the analysis-synthesis and inductive-deductive method, these were used in the data collection, the technique that was applied was the survey to verify the existing problem of the investigation. The result that encompasses the research was that the academic essay should be applied as a learning strategy in academic training, to the necessary alternative 83%, which showed that this tool is important to improve the dissemination of knowledge in Cell Biology. . It is concluded that the academic essay is an effective strategy to improve learning and as an instrument for disseminating knowledge, because students must encourage comprehensive reading and develop critical thinking.
