Burnout syndrome and its effect on the teaching well-being of CEDECOR - UNLP researchers

Burnout syndrome or "professional burnout syndrome" is a state of physical and emotional exhaustion resulting from work overload. The worker who suffers from burnout will gradually see how his health is affected due to exposure to certain working conditions, which will lead to emotional, physical and behavioral problems. The research question arose: What is the level of affectation of burnout syndrome on teacher well-being in CEDECOR? A reliable instrument (survey) with factorial validation consisting of 22 items Burnout Syndrome Measurement Test (MBI) was used and a convenience sample was carried out on 13 teachers from the National University of La Plata, obtaining that, in emotional exhaustion and depersonalization is low, in medium personal fulfillment, which means that teachers do not develop a negative and insensitive attitude towards the people with whom they work, they also evaluate feelings of self-efficacy, that is, professional achievements are below personal expectations, it is recommended to avoid work overload and improve working conditions as specified in section 3 of results.
