Playful circuits in the development of psychomotor skills in early childhood education

Objective: diagnose and apply recreational circuits for the motor development of children from rural schools in the Pujilí canton

Methods: The qualitative approach was used, to collect information we worked with the interview and observation technique. Thematic analysis was used, which helped establish the results of those observed in the diagnosis and application of recreational circuits.

Results: It was evident that teachers in rural institutions do not have the title of Initial Education and are unaware of motor circuits and it was evidenced that children had deficiencies in their fine and gross motor skills, laterality and balance, which is harming their comprehensive development.

Conclusions: the conclusions highlight the need for greater teacher training, better educational infrastructure and greater attention to psychomotor skills in the first years of children's lives, in order to promote comprehensive and healthy development.
