Metodología STEAM para el desarrollo del pensamiento creativo, científico y tecnológico en estudiantes de educación básica y bachillerato

La metodología STEAM se ha consolidado como un enfoque interdisciplinario orientado a integrar ciencia, tecnología, ingeniería, arte y matemáticas mediante experiencias de aprendizaje activas y contextualizadas. El presente artículo tuvo como objetivo analizar la contribución de STEAM al desarrollo del pensamiento creativo, científico y tecnológico en estudiantes de educación básica y bachillerato. Se realizó una investigación cualitativa, documental y de alcance descriptivo-analítico, basada en la revisión de 20 estudios científicos recientes. Los resultados muestran que las experiencias STEAM favorecen la generación de ideas, la indagación, la experimentación, el diseño, el uso crítico de tecnologías y la resolución de problemas, especialmente cuando se organizan alrededor de proyectos y desafíos auténticos. Asimismo, se identificó que la colaboración y el pensamiento crítico funcionan como competencias transversales dentro de estos procesos. Se concluye que el potencial educativo de STEAM depende de una integración real entre disciplinas, de la participación del estudiante y de una planificación pedagógica orientada a la innovación, la creatividad y la aplicación del conocimiento.
