Introduction: Laterality is an important part of human development that involves the ability to recognize and use the dominant side of the body to perform basic tasks.
Objective: Propose a children's songbook as a teaching strategy to strengthen laterality in spatial intelligence
Methods: This study was developed under the modality of a feasible project, for which the parts proposed by Dubs (2002) were considered: title, context, objectives, justification, reference framework, methodology, diagnosis or evaluation of needs, formulation of the proposal, feasibility or viability analysis and recommendations. To collect the information, we worked with documentary review, interviews and observation. The study context was the Educational Units with the level of Initial Education of the parish of “Guangaje” in Ecuador for which 6 institutions were selected.
Results: The effectiveness of using children's songs as a teaching strategy for the development of laterality in spatial location was evidenced.
Conclusions: The use of children's songs as a teaching strategy for the development of laterality in spatial intelligence in early education infants can be beneficial to stimulate, among other things, the development of laterality in spatial location.
